“The highest of distinctions is service to others.”

We had a great crew of volunteers come out from the team to support The Jamestown Half Marathon.
The group had to get up early in order to meet at the park and ride in North Kingstown before 6AM. This isn't an easy thing to do on a Summer day when we are used to getting a couple of hours more sleep and meeting in Goddard Park for a Saturday morning run.
But the North Kingstown Cross Country Team made it look easy and had fun doing it also!!!
There were many compliments from runners in the race and organizers alike as NKXC manned two water stations along the route with enthusiam.
Former NKXC standouts Rob Craven, Allison Lomas, and Mike Wilkinson ran in the race along with Coach McNeiece. Top runner Aisha McAdams who will be attending Stonehill College this Fall volunteered to help out. All of these former NK athletes will be representing their collegiate cross country teams in the Fall. Now that's dedication!!
NKXC at its best!!!

Bethany Nunnery just back from 'Jersey' with the handoff to the lead runner in the race!! She delivers with confidence because she has done this before.
Rob Craven coming through the water stop and reacting to the cheers.
Hundreds of runners make their way through the water stop between mile 7 and 8.
