Burlington Invitational

The North Kingstown Cross Country Team made the trip up to northern Vermont to compete in the Burlington Invitational where they competed against the best teams from the Vermont region.

The girls varsity team were narrowly beaten by a strong Essex team by three points and the guys came out in fifth place despite being shorthanded.

Up the hill they go forming a lead pack in the varsity race is Bethany, Emma, Alanah, and Izzie. Caroline, Allie and Kate are close behind.

Bethany in a sprint finish places 2nd overall with Emma in 7th.

Injury Fund

Every year all the XC teams from around RI gather to battle in a preseason event.  In terms of the season it's a non impact event but it gives the coaches and press a little insight on how the athletes have developed after their summer training

The girls would go on to win the varsity race and the freshman state race.  The boys finished in third in the varsity race and fifth in the freshman state race.

Last Training Run In The Desert

A summer of training in the desert culminated in the challenging grueling 5k.  As usual we had two races on the course this summer.  One to start things off and one as a comparison for those who ran both times.

One Last Day Of Freedom

Well, one last day of freedom for some of the team.  Freshman orientation and leadership members had a busy afternoon so some of the team took advantage of the early practice to get their workout in.
